Fasio glossy eyes in BR 2 review

Fasio glossy eyes in BR 2

Swatch

Fasio glossy eyes in BR 2 contains a glossy base, 3 eyeshadow colours and a eyeliner shade. You are supposed to use the glossy base first, then layer the eyeshadows on top. It comes in a boring black case and a double-ended eyeshadow sponge.

I was talked into buying Fasio glossy eyes in BR 2 for my prom last year. Agh don't know why I believed her and thought brown was the way to go. Cos generally i think brown's just boring :(

Sadly, it just went downhill from then on. The glossy base contained huge chunky glitter that makes you look really cheap and trashy when applied to your eyes. Thankfully, the eyeshadows only had fine shimmer but they were not pigmented enough and did not have even application :( though they were more pigmented when paired with the glossy base. And fall-out was t.e.r.r.i.b.l.e. Need I say more?

The eyeliner shade was fab though, pigmented and smooth.

Overall, Nah. Didn't like this. At $22.90, you should just top up $3 and get yourself
a majolica majorca palette.

Rhomlon multi-use crayon review

Rhomlon multi-use crayon in 02 soft pink

Rhomlon multi-use crayon in 05 hot fuchsia

I bought the Rhomlon multi-use crayons at $5.90 each. Which is pretty cheap.
I really liked this cos it was really easy and convenient to use plus they're extremely pigmented.

On days when you're feeling lazy, this helps a lot cos all you have to do is just swipe across your eye then use your fingers to blend it in.

although it says it can be used on your cheeks and lips as well, i highly doubt i'd be doing that with these colours! haha i'll wind up looking like a clown. :P

The lasting power for this is pretty good too and it doesn't smudge a lot. The only problem i see is how am i going to find a sharpener large enough for it. hmm. Any recommendations?

LOL look at all the colours available:

Rhomlon eyeshadow review

Rhomlon's a brand that I've seen lurking around chameleon, aries etc.

Initially, i was apprehensive to buy it cos I've never actually seen anybody buying them before and they were priced so cheaply that i was convinced that they were low-grade, china-made (rhyming! :P) products but i was tempted by the colours and anyway, it only cost me $5.60. WOOTS. So cheap.

Swatch

Rhomlon eyeshadow comes in 4 colours, blue, magenta, purple and green, with a double-ended sponge applicator.

As you can see from the swatch, the eyeshadow is intensely pigmented and really shimmery! (The swatch was made with only 1 swipe of the eyeshadows.) :D Love it loads. And its shimmer not glitter! So it doesn't look low class or anything. It goes onto my eyelids really well, and the fallout is minimal.

It doesn't say where its made but I checked Rhomlons other products and they're made in Japan and Germany! So the probability of this being made in china is pretty low. It does have a funky smell (ugh) but its bearable and it didn't cause me a rash or whatnot so i guess its safe. Either that or i'm thick-skinned haha (ok lousy joke.)

LOL but i do think that the colours are hard to match with each other and i think this should probably be used at night or when you're out clubbing/partying cos the colours come on very strong and you may wind up looking like a clown or a hooker, or in worst case, both.

However, if you must insist on using it, you shouldn't use the sponge applicator and only use it up to your double eyelid.

Overall, I say its a great buy and you should try out rhomlon's eyeshadows! There's a great selection...there's many types plus blush, cream eyeshadows, eyeliners and whatnot. And the eyeshadow here only cost me $5.60!! With the money spent on other drugstore brands' eyeshadows you could get 2 or even more of these! :D I'm recommending it!

Watsons expo sale and Markwins international beauty basics palette review

Have been lazy to update :/ Sorry!

Well, this is really late haha but im gonna blog abt my purchases from the watsons expo sale.
Sad to say, it was a huge disappointment. I thought there would be more beauty related stuff. instead it was a mish mash of sorts with six accessories and shoes (?!) being sold as well.

There was a tent for DHC and skinvitals was sold at 20%. Ditto for Za and majorca majolica, which were busy clearing out their old stock.

Well, here's what I got from the expo sale:
a jigsaw puzzle(utterly random isn't it?), $6, Clarus cucumber eyemask, $1.95, pocky tsubu strawberry sticks, $2.20, Markwins international beauty basics palette, $1 (Yes, you saw it right. ONE Singapore dollar.) and Ascience shampoo, $3.95.

Today I'm going to review Markwins international beauty basics palette.

It contains a lipstick (shade: LAGA11069), eye pencil (shade: EAFA00001), lip pencil (shade: LAIA11008), 2 blush - one pink, one coral (shades: FAHP11016, FAHP11032), mascara (shade: EALW00002), 12 eyeshadows, 3 sponge applicator, blush brush, compact with mirror.

It is made in China and it expires on 24th September 2010.

Well, to be honest, seeing that its only $1, I expected my whole face to break out in rashes after using it haha.

That's partially true. the eyeshadows were fine but the blushes weren't. Pimples popped out on my face after using the blushes and when I opened the blush compartment, there was a strong chemical smell that wafted out. That was a pity cos the colours were very pigmented, and the colours were pretty decent as well.

The lipstick was very drying and it was a horrid red colour, which wasn't very flattering as you might imagine. So I tossed it away.

The lip pencil colour was really pretty haha I use it alone- meaning that I colour in my whole lip using it without layering with lipstick or anything cos I really like the colour. Although it looks as if its the same shade as the lipstick in the picture, I can assure you that in real life, its a pretty shade of pink.

The eyeshadows are not bad. But the pigmentation differs with the colour. As you can see, the greens and the white eyeshadows are really pigmented and shimmery while the pinks and purples are decidedly lacking in pigmentation.

For the pigmented ones, they really are quite decent and the glitter particles are actually quite fine and not garish or anything. It just looks shimmery. Also, fallout is really quite minimal, although they tend to fade after a few hours.

The mascara is nothing really fab really. Although I like the wand cos its smaller, I don't poke my eyes as easily and its easier to reach to the lashes at the corners of my eyes as well as the separate my lashes.

Overall, for $1, it is a worthwhile buy even if there are a lot of defective or
not-really-useful products inside. You have nothing to lose anyway cos even if you don't like anything inside, you still have a pretty compact case with a big mirror inside haha you can just empty out the contents and give it a good wash then fill it with your makeup/jewellery or whatnot.

Did an EOTD with eyeshadow 3,4 and 12 as well as LA girls blue eyeliner.
