Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycereth-26, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Panthenol, Polysorbate 20, citric acid, magnesium aspartate, zinc gluconate, fragrance, disodium EDTA, copper gluconate, sodium hyaluronate, olea europea (olive) leaf extract.

My thoughts:
I thought it was pretty alright. I liked the opening the most cos there's only a small hole. Meaning it won't leak out and cause a horrible mess/ wastage of product :D and I liked the packaging- sleek and elegant.

As for its effectiveness, i thought it was pretty ok. It made my skin feel hydrated although i was slightly concerned by its low sodium hyaluronate percentage. It could've been better if it had left a smooth tingling/ refreshing feeling that i was looking for.

Overall, I'd say its worth it. It's not bad and it only costs $13.50 so why not give it a try?

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Essence

Every morning and night after clear lotion, massage evenly over face and neck

Dermatologist tested. Allergy tested. Oil-free. Non-comedogenic. Made in China. Expiry date: 14/10/2011. 30ml.


My thoughts:

It came with a pump dispenser, which was pretty handy to use. It should take 2 or 3 pumps for it to come out.

After applying it, I realised that it form a layer on top of my skin and did not appear to have been absorbed by my skin. After a while, it became sticky, and it was difficult to spread moisturiser on my skin. :( And I woke up with an extremely oily face the next morning.

The thing that I liked about Neutrogena Hydro Boost Essence was that it had a very nice, soothing smell that calms you down.

Overall, I think this is more suitable for people with dry skin. I think it would wonderfully hydrate their skin. Otherwise, if you have oily or combination skin, you can safely skip this step and jump straight onto moisturiser. It retails at $16.90.

Today I'm reviewing the Neutrogena Hydro Boost mousse cleanser.



It comes with a pump dispenser and after a few pumps, foam comes out! :D Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh.........
I feel like a small kid again haha! :D

Neutrogena Hydro Boost mousse cleanser is a gentle hydrating cleanser. Rich cushiony lather effectively foams away impurities, while a special hydrating agent adds back moisture so skin remains clean and soft.

Made in Korea. 150ml

Direction: Use daily. Pump foam into palm and massage onto face. Rinse with water.

My thoughts:
I really liked this! It's my 2nd favourite product from the Neutrogena Hydro Boost series after Neutrogena Hydro Boost mask haha.

The cleanser strips away all the clogged dirt and oil from my face and leaves my skin soft and smooth :D Thus it allows for quicker and easier absorption of my moisturiser.

The only thing I don't like is the weird smell...probably due to the fragrance they added in.

All in all, it is something I would consider buying when I run out of cleanser. It retails at $15.80

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mask Review

This mask was part of the Hydro Boost set I received from Neutrogena (yes it did not come out from my own pocket haha). This is the first product I tried cos masks take the fastest to know whether they work.



Here's what it says on the package:

With new SMART-FIT fabric containing 14,000 micro-holes, holds 25% more Hydro Boost hydrating essence to instantly boost skin's moisture level 14 times, leaving skin feeling smooth and supple with a vibrant glow.

Instructions:
Use after cleansing. Open pack, take out the mask and unfold. Press lightly with fingertips to set in place over face. Relax and feel the Hydro Boost hydrating essence infuse into your skin. Remove the mask after 15 minutes. Discard mask after use

It's dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic. Whatever that means. I'm not good with scientific terms though I was from Science faculty through and through haha

Made in China. 30g.

Ingredients:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Methyl paraben, Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan gum, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Ethylparaben, Triethylhexanoin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Dipotassium Glycyrrihizate, Sodium Citrate, Morus Alba Root Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, BHT, Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate, Citric Acid, Aloe Barbadensis, Leaf Extract

As you can see in the picture below, the texture of the mask sheet is distinctly different from the other masks. There are little holes in it. Must be what it means by the "14,000 micro-holes".



My thoughts:

I really liked the mask sheet material! It fit nicely on my face and it doesn't slide around/ hang over my face like a lot of other mask sheets from other brands. Haha that's a huge plus point. I don't repurchase masks that fit horribly on my face. Also, after using the mask, my skin was really plump and hydrated :D

However, I thought it had a funny smell. And the whole 15 minutes I had it on my face, I felt like my skin was stinging. I don't know why though but after that my skin was fine so I suppose its fine. And what it said on the package about the mask being rich is essence is really true haha it was drenched in the essence so there was essence dripping all over my face and over my sink. :(

I think it is pretty worth it lol although I would've liked an extra benefit like whitening or pore-minimizing cos most masks now have multiple properties.

Overall, I do like it pretty much and I would consider purchasing it. A pack of 5 retails at $31.50. Admittedly pricey but worth the splurge on special occasions.

Neutrogena hydro boost water gel review

I got this 5 ml Neutrogena hydro boost water gel tube free with the Feb issue of Cleo.

It's a new series by neutrogena.

It says on the back of the tube that it has a Progressive Release System and it continuously replenishes moisture and boosts skin's water retention ability for long lasting hydration.

It is made in Korea.

It does hydrate my skin (I have combination skin), which is its basic function. However, unlike my usual moisturiser, my skin doesn't look dewy and luminous after the gel is absorbed. My skin looked as dull as ever. But it does perform its moisturising ability pretty well, and since its a drugstore brand, the price won't be harsh on your pocket.

I'd say its pretty good as a replacement while you're searching for the perfect moisturiser for your skin.

Cleo Feb issue

Bought the Feb issue of Cleo($4.40) today :D featuring Lenka. Love her songs! Especially the show.

There's a free tube of gel from the new neutrogena hydro boost series. Haven't tried it out yet. Will review it sometime next week. Have been swamped with work recently and everyday has been horrible to say the least. :(
